Poole Council and local businesses are engaged in an experiment that saves money and replaces the Local Public Toilets with the offer of 5 alternative facilities

The Community Toilet Scheme has been introduced to Broadstone and you can read all about it here.
The experiment involves the public toilets in Macaulay Road being closed and replaced by the offer of facilities at a number of local businesses and services.
The ‘Use our Loo’ Scheme is explained at the site of the old toilets although this might be too late for the desperate arriving in Macaulay Road to find they are locked out, have reading to do and a choice to make! The next nearest facility is at Costa Coffee and if there is a queue there you can try The Library, the Hadliegh Surgery, Molly’s Café or carry on to the Junction Sports Centre.
The toilets in the Recreation Ground off Charborough Road are still available – if you can make it that far!
Broadstone is leading the way with the trial and can claim a contribution towards making overall spending cuts, but, what do you think?
